The domaine

Orignally from the north of France, Olivier and Gwen took over the Domaine in July 2019. We are here to ensure that you have the perfect stay with family, friends, or for your orgainsed event.

We make every effort to minimize the impact of our Estate on the environment and make your stay eco-responsible. This list is not final and will be improved as and when our new commitments are put in place.

• Manuel weed killing via heat or biological weedkiller

• Gites are cleaned with homemade products, vinegar/alcohol based.
• Towards all-LED lighting!

• Pool heated by latest heat pump technology
• Creation of late mowed areas to promote biodiversity
• Grinding leaves rather than collecting to enrich the soil
• Choice of latest dry toilets in our caravans
• Home-cooked breakfasts
• Promotion of local producers of Armagnac wines, brandy, foie gras etc.
• Choice of local providers (caterers, artisans, etc.)
• Thermostats on heating systems
• Use of timers and twilight switches for exterior light
• Composting area for green waste
• Acquisition of chickens for food waste

The grounds of the Domaine de la Brette is an open space ... open to nature and open to art. The artist Gérard Troël has displayed many of his works here. You will find them in our reception rooms, at the guest house, and on the grounds.

The Gers is a excellent area for the discovery of fauna and flora. Open your eyes wide - Nature holds great surprises for you.
